An innovative approach at the time of its founding, the Harbor Team has served as a model for stakeholder engagement at the Port of Baltimore since 2003. Their commitment to the DMMP has resulted in a transparent, engaged, and effective planning process that has enabled MPA to address the Port’s dredging needs.
MPA is committed to ensuring that all affected constituencies are involved in planning for and identifying effective dredged material management options. Our stakeholders have been and will continue to be the key to our success. That process will not change; however, the Harbor Team has been merged into the Citizens Advisory Committee. This provides efficiencies for both the committee members and MPA staff. The unique dredged material placement needs of the Baltimore Harbor will continue to be addressed by the CAC.
The MPA is grateful for the support of the Harbor Team for the past twenty years and will continue to welcome their input as part of the Community Advisory Committee.
